Happy Friday! I have a busy weekend ahead of me but I wanted to get started off on the right foot…so I got my butt outta bed at 5 this morning to head to the gym to get my workout done for the day. I normally do Boot Camp on Fridays, but I skipped the gym yesterday so I knew I needed to get some kind of cardio into my routine today. The obvious choice for getting your behind kicked is spin class…so that’s exactly what I did! I actually got to class a little early so I ended up pedaling at a low resistance for about 20 minutes…It was a nice little warm up. Then the “Spin Nazi” came into the room and it all went down hill from there!
This lady is called the “Spin Nazi” because she yells at you through the whole class.
“KEEP THE BEAT…ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!!”
“COME ON!!!! MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!”
It is seriously intense. Thankfully, I am one of those people who likes being pushed and since she doesn’t single you out or anything…her yelling is okay in my book! It reminded me of the scene in Fever Pitch…anyone know what I am talking about?!
After sweating out my body weight in sweat, I had ended up completing about 25 miles…not too shabby in my book! This is mere fluff to hardcore Janae though who rode 100 miles!
I came home and took the pups on a little run…and when I say little, I mean it! It was a very leisurely pace and we ended up running for about 20-25 minutes.
Running with two dogs is no joke so it took some coaching to get the pups situated and running alongside me nicelyI!
Off to Ocala
Today my sister is coming to pick me up at 10:30 to head up to Ocala. In between now and then I have to:
- Pack for California (a whole WEEK)
- Do some stuff for work
- Get ready
- Pack for Ocala/Melbourne
Yikes…maybe I should get started…the clock is tickin!
QUESTION: Are you a last minute packer?
I definitely wait until the last minute…the only thing worse than packing is UNpacking which I normally get around to about a week after I get back!
